Reeking Of Rebellion!!!

All of this does - from the name, title and description of my blog to this picture I put in - reek of rebellion that is...

I don't know if its just me or if the picture actually says it.... When I look at it I see a dark cloud in the form of a hand trying to supress the glory of the setting sun (symbolising the WHY) and in rebellion the setting sun casts its reflection upon the sea where its beauty is spread far and wide for all to see (symbolising the WHY NOT).

I made a 'rebellious teen' comment a few years ago at a competition, on stage in front of a whole university of unknown faces and four known faces of my classmates. That day it earned me a good round of applause and a few snorts ..Hey there has to be rebels among them too.. :)

I did not spread/share that philosophy anymore but did implement it in most of what I did...further education, career choices, some unhappy romances and of course in finding a life partner... they all worked for me and life turned out just the way I wanted and I am happy because of these rebellions.... You must be bored and confused reading all this and wondering what my point is....

Well, the other day ... after all these seven years, I received a mail from someone who told me that he was among the audience of unknown faces at that university and what I said about asking "Why NOT?" in reply to a "Why?" helped him change his pessimistic attitude and go forward in life. He's at a very successful position now and says he owes a lot to my rebellious comment.

"Don't take NO for an answer" ..."When asked 'Why?' learn to ask 'Why NOT?' in reply"......
It works for me... and apparently it worked for him too.

Well.. I agree with the 'why not'... but the fact is, the question of 'why' or 'whynot' applies only if u are considering a positive situation.. have u ever wondered 'why not' when considering a negative decision?? Dont think so..

Reply to Stoned...: I mentioned some unhappy romances - those were a result of "why not" when considering a negative decision.... But it worked out in the end because those experiences helped me take a positive decision when the matter came to a "forever life partner". Deep down I still believe "Everything has a plan and purpose for your good"..

You have something that i dont.. age, or it's child, experience.. So, I guess I would just have to be content with all the unhappy romances right now... nd hope that a "forever life partner" is somewher down the block.. Well, why not??
